Interwar Period Essay

The Interwar period was a period with a lot of ups and downs, it happened between World War I and the beginning of World War II. This period consisted in 6 to 7 countries: France, US, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, and China/Japan. These countries struggled a lot in economy, society, military, and government/politics.

Hitler in the US- it would not be so bad because people in the US liked him. But in my opinion he would do a lot of harmful things to them. You never know with evil people. He would want to gain a lot of power; he would want a perfect economy, society, etc. And, as you know there’s no perfect economy or society in the US. If there will be Jewish people in the US, he would kill them all because he is very racist. He would create camps for the poor people, to make them suffer or something awful like that. As you know, he wanted everything perfect, all royalty, no poor. Ok, maybe at first the people are going to like him, but when he starts with his cruelty, there's no way back, so the society will suffer, big time.

Franklyn Roosevelt in Italy- I think people are going to love this guy. First because of what I know about him, he brings everything up, or better. If he was in Italy and also did the Lend-Lease Act, Italy’s economy would have gone up, which is a positive thing for them. That is what this country needed. When he led the US out of the Great Depression, he was admired a lot. This action would have been so good for the Italians and other countries, obviously.

Stalin in UK- I believe that Stalin had qualities that would’ve been better for UK’s economy after the war. Fascism was maybe not exactly it, but almost. He needed to raise the people’s hopes and learn how to control their madness. I understand that the government needed to reduce the work, but not working at all was horrible. His Five Year Plans might have actually had a really good result in the United Kingdom, since people needed to recover from the Great Depression and industries were completely closing. People needed to feel safe economically, and that’s what Stalin might have provided.

The examples on top are examples of impacts that these men might have caused in other countries that needed their ideas in a way. But, countries were not only going through negative things during the interwar period. A good example of positive things was when Germany started the Nazi party. Maybe it wasn’t so positive for other countries like France because the Germans were not going to pay them anymore, since they decided to not follow the Treaty of Versailles. I think that Germany definitely increased their economy since it was all for them. Another country that ended up having a positive change was Japan. They were able to restore their old regime: Meji. With the old regime back, Japan was able to recover the money they lost during the war, and start from the beginning. Even the US, with Franklyn Roosevelt they made their economy much stronger and better. Franklyn established the Lend-Lease Act, which made that happen.

The interwar period, was a time in which a lot of countries suffered. Although most had a pretty good road after losing so much money. I think that the interwar period was a moment of recovery for countries that later on became very powerful in World War II.

PSA Video

In our computer project we did something very interesting, it was a PSA commercial, that made people think and learn. Fernanda and I, chose to do the PSA of Anorexia and Bulimia. Our video was very intense and amazing. I am 100% positive that someone is going to learn from our video. The process of making or video was very easy. First we did like a rough sketch of our video, we planned everything, what we were going to say and do. After we tapped our selves, and we acted everything out. After we uploaded our clips, and we edited them and we put music on it to make it look and sound better. At the end of our video, Fernanda says like an intense quote, that really touched me. In total, the making of the video was not hard, I had fun and enjoyed doing it. This is a type of project that I would love to do always.

What I would change is only putting 2 different songs not only one, if you see it, you are gonna see that there is the repetition of the same song. It made the video more intense, but still. Another thing I would change is the time of the project, I would seriously do it much better if there were more time, I would put more effects. The last think that I would change is the effects. My video did not look boring, but I would do something to make it happier. I would like to make it unique and more touchy. But in total, my project was great! I enjoyed doing it, I had a lot of fun and I made an excellent project. So why be angry, and sad, and disappointed?

Well, the video that I most loved was Debora's and Jade's video. Everything they said was amazing and true. The different kinds of effects they put were exotic and different and it looked very real. There video made me think a lot and learn. It was a very intense video with a lot of unique effects, that is the reason why I choose this video. Their video had something different that the others, it made you feel sad, angry, happy, all at the same time. That is why I choose this one. I loved this project and I really would love if we do more videos or commercial like these ones. There were amazing, all of them.
